Why We Built This Site
Alabama does not place every criminal record in one public search. Conecuh County Circuit Clerk David Jackson keeps Circuit and District Court files at the Government Center, including criminal, traffic, juvenile, and warrant divisions. The Conecuh County Sheriff's Office and County Jail at Liberty Street hold sheriff reports, booking information, and present-custody records. A person's own statewide fingerprint history comes from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, not an unrestricted public name search. State-prison records belong to the Alabama Department of Corrections, and registry information comes from ALEA's Alabama Sex Offender Registry. This site brings those verified roles, contacts, access limits, fees, and search steps into a clearer local reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Local record routes: how Conecuh County court cases, arrests, bookings, warrants, and custody records move through different offices
- Official self-review steps: how ALEA's fingerprint-based Alabama Criminal History Record Information process works for the subject of the record
- Verified contacts: where to reach the Circuit Clerk, sheriff and jail, municipal offices, and statewide record systems
- Access boundaries: how Alabama public-record law, expungement, juvenile confidentiality, and lawful redaction affect availability
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of Conecuh County or the State of Alabama. It has no authority over a court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that every published fee, address, telephone number, or office procedure remains current
Only the office that maintains a record, such as the sheriff, Circuit Clerk, municipal court, or Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, can issue its official copy.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by outside providers. Each provider controls its service, prices, privacy terms, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports operation of this resource. Conecuh County Criminal History does not control the provider's charges or determine which records its system returns.
