Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever a visitor browses Conecuh County Criminal History, reads its material, or uses a search feature. Continued use shows acceptance of every term stated below. A person who does not agree with these conditions should discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to Conecuh County, the State of Alabama, or any government body. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither this resource nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or any other decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

1. What This Website Is

Conecuh County Criminal History is an independent private reference site. It neither holds government records nor has authority to retrieve an official record, perform an official background check, or submit a filing for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify sources such as the Conecuh County Circuit Clerk, the sheriff and jail, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
  • Use bots, scrapers, or similar automated collection tools
  • Attempt to bypass security or enter restricted systems
  • Use information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Use site content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Violate a federal, Alabama, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information obtained here or through a linked tool may be used to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. Alabama registry information exists for public safety and community awareness, not confrontation or vigilantism. Harassing conduct may violate Ala. Code § 13A-11-8, while violations of duties imposed by the Alabama Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Act are addressed by Ala. Code § 15-20A-37. These terms do not create a broader registry offense than Alabama law provides.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Conecuh County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency and does not prepare credit reports, background reports, or any other consumer report. Data from this website or a linked feature may not be used to:

  • Make a credit or lending decision
  • Evaluate employment
  • Assess a housing or rental application
  • Set insurance eligibility or price
  • Determine eligibility for a license, benefit, or other FCRA-covered purpose

A legally compliant report for a regulated purpose must come through an authorized official process or a qualified FCRA-compliant provider, not through this website.

5. No Legal Advice

The material provides general record-access information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Alabama attorney can advise how a pending charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement law applies to a particular set of facts.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is" and without a promise that:

  • Outside search results are complete or correctly matched
  • Every page is free from errors or security flaws
  • The service will remain continuously available
  • Each procedure, fee, address, or other fact is current and complete

Charges, case status, custody, sealing, and expungement can change after publication. A page on this website is never an official statement from the Conecuh Circuit Clerk, sheriff, ALEA, or another public office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to courts, law-enforcement agencies, Alabama and federal systems, legal resources, and outside search providers. A destination controls its own content, availability, fees, data handling, and terms. Conecuh County Criminal History is not responsible for those outside services.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless another owner is identified, website text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Conecuh County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material from that protected content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, the website and its operators are not liable for losses or damages arising from use of its material, features, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold the website and its operators harmless from claims, demands, and actions caused by that visitor's use or violation of these terms, including related legal costs where the law permits.

11. Governing Law

Alabama law governs these terms. Any dispute connected with use of the website must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Alabama.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version becomes effective when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected language will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
