Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent to the outside company that supplies that feature. The provider processes the name or location and delivers its own results. Conecuh County Criminal History does not keep a separate log or database of the terms entered into those partner tools.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to review it, respond, and maintain an appropriate business record. It is not shared outside the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard server and analytics systems can collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Page-view dates and times
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- IP address associated with the connection
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent
- The referring website, when available
Cookies and Analytics

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Conecuh County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its published material identifies official channels such as the Conecuh Circuit Clerk, Conecuh County Sheriff's Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Alabama Department of Corrections, and Alabama Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a third-party criminal dossier or a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that appear on some pages. Information submitted there is governed by the chosen provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and disclosure practices. Those terms are outside this site's control, so visitors should read them before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Alabama courts, the Conecuh sheriff, municipal offices, state and federal agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's policy controls its collection and use of data.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted advertising. Their tracking practices are not administered by Conecuh County Criminal History.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by this site. It may still be available to a limited set of service providers or authorities:
- Analytics vendors measuring performance and traffic
- The search provider selected by a visitor

- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for information under this site's control. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, however, and this policy does not promise that unauthorized access or a breach can never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Information identified as having been submitted by a minor will be reviewed for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights depend on the law that applies to the visitor and the data. Alabama's Open Records Act, Ala. Code § 36-12-40, concerns access to public writings held by government offices; it does not make private visitor analytics into a Conecuh County public record. Alabama's criminal-history system is separately controlled by Ala. Code § 41-9-590 et seq. Subject to applicable privacy law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about that visitor
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law provides that right
- Object to or opt out of eligible processing
